Sunday, 14 January 2024 | PNS | BHUBANESWAR

The Higher Education Department has launched e-Lectures on a virtual tutorial platform for the students pursuing their higher studies in the State.

Special Secretary and State Project Director (SPD) of Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA)-Odisha Chittaranjan Patra has written to the Registrars of public varsities and Principals of all government and aided colleges in this regard.

He has insisted on exploring and promoting e-Lectures on the virtual tutorial platform.

An initiative has been taken under RUSA in the field of education that holds immense potential for both the students and faculties. The Utkal University, as a pioneering institution, was entrusted with the development of e-Lectures through a state-of-the-art virtual tutorial studio established for this purpose.

A dedicated web portal: https://vtputkal.odisha.gov.in, previously created by the National Informatics Centre (NIC), has been launched to facilitate this initiative, an official source said.

The e-Lectures are now available for core papers of 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th semesters in about eleven subjects, including Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, Botany, Political Science, Odia, History, English, Psychology, Commerce and Economics, which have already been uploaded to the web portal.

Encouraging the students to explore this resource will not only supplement their studies but also contribute to the overall growth and adaptation of technology in education. The e-Lectures cover a wide range of subjects, ensuring that students from various disciplines can benefit from it, which aims to enhance the learning experience by providing quality educational content in a digital format.

information, the deceased woman’s brother lodged a complaint with the Kishorenagar police. A police team reached the spot and took Abani into custody. Further investigation was underway.
