Elephant kills man in Jashpur

A man was trampled to death by a wild elephant in Jashpur district in Chhattisgarh, a forest official said on Sunday.

The incident took place near Nawghuti village under the Bagicha forest range on Saturday, Bagicha Ranger Pramod Shukla said.

Khuleshwar Ram Nagwanshi was killed when he stood and watched the animal bathing in the pond.

The deceased man’s kin was provided an instant relief of Rs 25,000.
