Sachdeva facilitates meeting of bus marshal delegation with LG, requests him to hear their case

Sunday, 06 October 2024 | Staff Reporter | New Delhi

Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva on Saturday facilitated the meeting of a delegation of bus marshals with the Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena and requested him to hear their case.

The delegation, which included Mukesh Pal Singh, Salman, Chandrashekhar, Anuj Srivastava, Mahendra Singh, Kamlesh, Anita Mehra, and others, also visited the BJP state office and expressed their gratitude to Sachdeva for the meeting with Saxena. They also expressed their regret over the Delhi Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj laying on the feets of the Leader of the Opposition Vijender Gupta, and BJP MLAs.

After meeting the Lieutenant Governor, the delegation issued a video statement reassuring their fellow bus marshals that the Lieutenant Governor had promised a swift resolution, and they would soon receive good news.

South Delhi MP Ramvir Singh Bidhuri stated that even in the name of restoring the jobs of the marshals, a drama is being played with them.

"The proposal is passed in the assembly but when it comes to paperwork, the proposal is not even passed in the cabinet. Instead, a drama is played to get the sympathy of the marshals by lying down on the roads," he claimed.

Bidhuri added that the BJP has been supporting the marshals very seriously from the beginning and is not only making continuous efforts for the restoration of their jobs but is also exposing all the activities of the AAP.

Addressing the media in this context, Sachdeva said, "The BJP had consistently stated that Arvind Kejriwal first appointed the bus marshals without following proper procedures and then dismissed them to avoid scrutiny. After meeting the Lieutenant Governor today, the bus marshals now understand the truth."

He alleged that his party has consistently pointed out how Arvind Kejriwal appointed the bus marshals without following due process, dismissed them to avoid an investigation, and today, after meeting the Lieutenant Governor, the bus marshals realized the truth.

"Arvind Kejriwal played with the lives of the bus marshals for an entire year, and when they felt exposed by the BJP, they hurriedly passed a cabinet note. Kejriwal and Atishi Marlena should explain why this action wasn't taken back in October 2023," he alleged.
