The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Ganjam conducted a felicitation meeting on Friday in which Brahmapur Lok Sabha candidate Dr Pradeep Panigrahi participated and informed that during the decade 2014 to 2024, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has released grants amounting to Rs 19 lakh crore to Odisha. He charged that the State Government had hijacked all the Central Government grants by declaring such projects as its own.
"Now people of Odisha have well understood the self praising advertising policies of the BJD Government, for which they have determined to change the symbol," he said.
Brahmapur, the lifeline of south Odisha, has always taken leadership in Odisha in education, health, culture, social and economic fields. Now time has come for change and the same will start from Brahmapur, Panigrahi stressed.
"We will go to the people from door to door, with details of central government projects and explain to them about the vision of our Prime Minister Narendra Modi," Panigrahi said. He also advocated for a double engine Government for Odisha.
Panigrahi also took a dig at the Government over the rampant corruption in the Mahanagar Nigam (BeMC).
BJP Ganjam District president Dr Subash Sahu, State general aecretary Sarada Prasad Satapathi, Brahmapur Lok Sabha chief Ashok Mishra, State Executive Member Kahnu Charan Pati, Brahmapur Lok Sabha Coordinator Saroj Sabata, among others were present.
