Unaccounted cash, liquor and other goods worth more than Rs 25 crore have been seized since the announcement of general elections in Chhattisgarh, the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) said on Friday.
The seizures took place between March 16 and 28 after the model code of conduct was imposed ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.
Among other things, Rs 5.28 crores in cash, 17,311 litres of liquor worth Rs 41 lakhs, 784 kg of narcotics valued at Rs 1.84 crores, 23 kg of jewellery worth Rs 94 lakhs and other goods worth Rs 16.96 lakhs have been seized.
