Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini held a high-level meeting with top Japanese companies in Gurugram on Sunday, urging them to step up investments in the State. The meeting comes ahead of his scheduled visit to Japan from October 6 to 8, where he will attend the Haryana Pavilion and engage with industry leaders to attract fresh investments. On the occasion, the Haryana Government signed an MoU with Honda for Construction and Demolition (C&D) Waste Management. Under the agreement, the State will provide land and waste material, while Honda will utilize the waste to manufacture tiles.
Saini also proposed the establishment of a dedicated Japanese industrial cluster in Narayangarh, highlighting its strategic location near Chandigarh, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Punjab. “Narayangarh is just 40–45 km from these regions, which will significantly enhance trade opportunities,” he said. Addressing infrastructure concerns, the CM announced that a `3,000-crore project to ensure water supply in Manesar through a pipeline from the Munak Canal will soon take off after tendering. The plan has been designed to meet the needs of the next 25–30 years. Additionally, he unveiled a `78-crore water recycling project in Manesar through HSIIDC to encourage industries to reuse treated wastewater.
The Chief Minister emphasised the effective use of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds for public welfare, suggesting their use in hospitals, higher education institutions, and Model Sanskriti Schools being set up every 10 km across the State. He also urged companies to adopt and beautify roads under CSR initiatives. To strengthen safety infrastructure, Saini announced the launch of advanced fire brigade systems in Gurugram, Faridabad and Sonipat, with expansion planned across the State. He also revealed that the Government is establishing ten new Industrial Model Townships (IMTs), with 6,000 – 7,000 acres of land already registered on the e-Bhoomi portal.
The CM further assured industrialists that the State has streamlined the No Objection Certificate (NOC) process to provide approvals within a stipulated timeframe. Responding to concerns on environmental approvals, he also confirmed the signing of an MoU for setting up a 500 MW Green Energy Plant in Haryana. Industries and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh, who also addressed the gathering, urged companies to actively collaborate with the state Government in CSR activities for maximum community impact.
