In his effort to highlight the seriousness of the increasing cyber and other online-crimes, Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar on Friday made a shocking revelation that an unidentified person asked his 13-year-old daughter for her nude photographs while she was playing a video game online.
The incident involving the minor daughter of Kumar and Twinkle Khanna, an actor-turned-author, took place a few months ago.
Akshay Kumar made the revelation in the presence of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, who holds the State Home portfolio; Director General of Police Rashmi Shukla; Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Iqbal Singh Chahal, the top police brass and actress Rani Mukherjee during the launch of Cyber Awareness Month October 2025 in Mumbai at the State police headquarters in south Mumbai.
Baring his heart about the incident involving his daughter at the function, Akshay Kumar said: “I want to tell you all about an incident which happened at my house a few months back. My daughter was playing a video game, and there are some video games that you can play with others as well. Sometimes you are playing with an unknown stranger.
“While you are playing, sometimes a message comes from the other side…fantastic, you are superb, well played, thank you… all courteous messages, very respectful,” he said.
“While playing, a message came (to my daughter). The unknown person asked her: Are you male or female? So she replied female. And then he sent a message asking her to send nude pictures of hers...my daughter switched off the whole thing and she went and told her mother, my wife. This is how things begin. This is also a part of the cyber world…at some times kids get carried away,” the Bollywood actor said.
