Deputy Commissioner Ajay Nath Jha chaired the district coordination committee meeting, directing officials to work with commitment and coordination to make Bokaro an exemplary district. He emphasized time-bound implementation of government schemes and asked departments to resolve land disputes in mission mode, take strict action against illegal encroachments, and maintain clean records.
The DC reviewed progress under MGNREGA, noting the district’s above-average performance but urging underperforming blocks to improve. He called for increased participation of women and SC/ST groups, better use of the AOMV app for field monitoring, and timely verification of job cards. Aadhaar-based payments were at 99.26%, but gaps in 1159 cases must be closed through special camps.
He directed faster implementation of Birsa Harit Gram Yojana and Birsa irrigation schemes, completion of pending PMAY and Abua Awas houses, and monitoring of Dobha construction with geo-tagging. Janata Darbars must resolve public grievances within a week, and Thana Diwas should be held regularly.
The DC also announced a mass plantation drive from July 5 to 17 with community participation. He instructed prompt repair of handpumps and timely ration distribution to ensure no one is left out.
