Bokaro Steel Plant's Business Excellence Department organized a two-day event, Director In-Charge Trophy 2025, focused on the 5S System of workplace management. The event was held at the Knowledge and Development Centre of the HR Department.
The inaugural session was attended by Manish Jalota, Chief General Manager (Business Excellence), Lambodar Upadhyay, General Manager (TS – Water Supply), and Amresh Sinha, General Manager (Business Excellence).
Twenty Quality Circle teams from departments including RCL, Bokaro General Hospital, Heavy Maintenance (Mechanical), CRM-III, Hot Strip Mill, Town Services – Water Supply, PEB, ETL, Traffic, Coke Oven, HRCF, Blast Furnace, Electronics & Telecommunication, and EMD showcased their workplace housekeeping practices through model presentations, 5S implementation journeys, case studies, and Kaizen ideas.
Outstanding teams from this event will qualify for the national conclave organized by the Quality Circle Forum of India (QCFI), scheduled in Madurai on June 14, 2025.
The event was conducted by senior managers Sagarika Sahu and Devyani Chakraborty from the Business Excellence team.
