The two-day "LEO" program on Operational Parameters and Bottom Management in BOF concluded today at Bokaro Steel Plant. The event, which commenced on April 25, was inaugurated by Chief Guest, Director In-Charge Birendra Kumar Tiwari, through the traditional lighting of the lamp ceremony.
The inaugural session was graced by Executive Director (Works) C.R. Mahapatra, Executive Director (Finance & Accounts) Suresh Rangani, Chief General Manager In-Charge (Steel) Arvind Kumar, Chief General Manager (SMS-New & MRD) R.K. Dhawan, along with other Chief General Managers, Department Heads, and senior executives from various departments.
The program witnessed active participation from SAIL units, including Durgapur Steel Plant, Bhilai Steel Plant, IISCO Burnpur, and Rourkela Steel Plant, as well as from leading steel manufacturers across the country like Tata Steel, Jindal Steel, NMDC Limited, and RINL.
Participants shared their experiences and insights on BOF operations, plant performance, lance operation and maintenance, and hood and skirt maintenance, through detailed presentations.
The event was efficiently conducted by General Manager (Knowledge Acquisition & Development) D.R. Toppo, and concluded with a formal Vote of Thanks delivered by Chief General Manager (ECS) D.K. Saxena.
