Regional Training Center of NIPCCD to open in State

The Regional Training Center of Central Government sponsored National Institute of Public Cooperation and Child Development will be opened in Jharkhand. For this, five acres of land has been marked near Deer Park of Khunti. At present, consensus was reached to take Jupmi Bhawan located in Smart City on rent to start the institute. Chief Secretary Alka Tiwari was holding a meeting with officials on Friday regarding starting the Regional Training Center of National Institute of Public Cooperation and Child Development on the proposal of Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India.

In the meeting, Secretary of Women, Child Development and Social Security Department, Manoj Kumar told that the employees implementing the schemes at the ground level will be trained in the institute and their capacity will be enhanced. In Jharkhand alone, the number of such employees is around 80 thousand, which includes Anganwadi Sevika, Sahayika, Supervisor etc.

The institute being established in Jharkhand will also become a centre for training the personnel running the scheme in Jharkhand as well as the eastern Indian states of West Bengal, Odisha and Bihar. The regional training centre of the National Institute of Public Cooperation and Child Development is currently running in Guwahati, Bengaluru, Indore, Lucknow and Mohali.

Apart from Chief Secretary Alka Tiwari, Secretary of Women, Child Development and Social Security Department Manoj Kumar, Secretary of Revenue and Land Reforms Department Chandrashekhar, Director of SUDA Amit Kumar etc were present in the meeting.
