Deputy Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Shri Rajendra Shukla, has underscored the urgent need to accelerate infrastructure development in the state’s healthcare sector to strengthen medical services. He stated that the budget allocated by the state government must be utilized on a priority basis and all construction works must be completed within the stipulated timeline. Expressing concern over delays in project execution, he directed that payments to construction agencies should not be delayed to ensure both the pace and quality of work are maintained.
Shri Shukla conducted a comprehensive review of infrastructure development projects under the Health Department at the Mantralaya in Bhopal. He emphasized that transforming the state’s healthcare services into modern, robust, and public-oriented systems would require coordinated efforts across infrastructure, human resources, equipment, management, and technical domains. He instructed officials to closely monitor progress and ensure that all projects are completed with quality and within deadlines.
The Deputy Chief Minister also directed that all under-construction and completed health institutions should receive essential equipment and furniture on time. He noted that operations at several institutions are delayed despite completion of buildings due to the unavailability of equipment, which is a serious concern. To resolve this, he instructed continuous monitoring to avoid any delays in operationalizing such institutions in the future.
