The final day of Uurja-18 saw swelling student participation at UPES campus and as per the organisers, a large number of students opted for on the spot entries in events held simultaneously at multiple venues in the Bidholi campus of the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies.
Over 12000 students participated on the final day and they included students from DIT University, Graphic Era University, Doon Business School and Uttaranchal University apart from UPES. The most popular events which attracted maximum participations included ‘IPL Bidding’, ‘Footloose’, ‘War of Bands’, ‘Gully Cricket’, ‘Abinay’, ‘Tomorrow Land’, ‘Talent Hunt’, ‘Barati Dance’ and ‘MR. & MS. UURJA’, the organisers of the event claimed.
Arun Dhand, senior director, Public Affairs, UPES informed that external judges have been invited for evaluating the events to ensure their transparent and fair judgement at the fest.
