Both major political parties BJP and Congress are engaged in war of words over absence of their respective leaders’ photos from the by-election campaigns.
BJP has questioned the Congress on missing Rahul Gandhi pictures from Vachan Patras, the election manifesto distributed by Congress party locally, while on the other hand, the grand old party has hit back asking as why Jyotiraditya Scindia’s face is missing from digital chariots sent to poll-bound constituencies. The BJP had mocked Congress party move of skipping Rahul Gandhi’s pictures in Vachan Patras which are distributed in poll-bound constituencies.
“Digvijay Singh in MP and Rahul Gandhi nationally has lost relevance for Congress party which is aware that keeping their faces in front could cost them votes so they are avoiding them,” Shivraj cabinet minister Gopal Bhargav told.
Besides Gandhi, Digvijay Singh too is also missing from Vachan Patras which features late PM Indira Gandhi, AICC president Sonia Gandhi and MPCC president Kamal Nath.
Congress media cell co-ordinator Narendra Saluja replied to Bhargav’s comment saying it was a local election manifesto so as per protocol, pictures of national president and state heads were used. Soon we are releasing a main manifesto which will have picture of Rahul Gandhi and others, added the leader. However, as the BJP green signalled digital chariots to 28 poll bound constituencies for promoting Shivraj government achievements from Bhopal, the Congress quickly spotted that Jyotiraditya Scindia pictures were missing from these modern vehicles.
