Over 21k beds in Covid-19 hospitals of Chhattisgarh

nChhattisgarh currently has 21,097 beds in 178 Covid centres. Efforts are on to increase the number up to 25,000, officials said on Monday.

These are for asymptomatic patients or those with mild symptoms, an official press release said.

“In 30 specialized Covid hospitals currently, 3,384 patients have been admitted,” the Health Department was quoted in the press release as saying.

District Collectors have been told to increase number of beds.

As per official information, currently there are 600 beds in Covid Care Centers at Balod, 582 in Balodabazar-Bhatapara, 550 in Bemetra, 440 in Balrampur-Ramanujganj, 1,250 in Bastar, 80 in Bijapur, 717 in Bilaspur, 504 in Dantewada, 1,180 in Dhamtari, 1,574 in Durg, 235 in Gariaband, 200 in Gorella-Pendra-Marwahi, 1,235 in Janjgir-Champa, 560 in Jashpur, 550 in Kanker, 460 in Kabirdham, 870 in Kondagaon, 870 in Korba, 181 in Korea, 200 in Mahasamund, 434 in Mungeli, 100 in Narayanpur, 1,000 in Raigarh, 4,640 in Raipur, 310 in Rajnandgaon, 825 in Sukma, 250 in Surajpur and 730 beds in Surguja district.

Also, there are 26 Covid centres in Dhamtari district, 13 in Janjgir-Champa, 11 each in Raipur, Korea, Jashpur and Surguja and 10 in Bilaspur. There are also 4,261 beds in 166 quarantine centers operated by the Health Department.
