Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala on Sunday said the State Government will set up warehouses with a capacity of seven lakh metric tonnes during the next one year.
These warehouses will be constructed on the lines of private warehouses through the panchayats, said Dushyant while addressing the problems of the people at his residence in Sirsa.
Speaking about the Centre’s agricultural laws, he said that agricultural laws will prove beneficial for farmers and the agriculture sector. So far, this year double the amount of paddy has reached the mandis as compared to last year. Farmers have not been facing any problem while selling their produce.
The State Government has been working with strong determination towards strengthening the Panchayati Raj Institutions, he added.
Dushyant added the representation of women in panchayat elections has increased. Recently in Jind, 42 women representatives of seven districts have been given a Scooty.
He said this kind of programme has already been organized in Gurugram and soon a similar program will also be organized in Panchkula as well. The women representatives of the remaining districts will also be given a Scooty.
About the upcoming Baroda by-election, Dushyant said that the BJP-JJP alliance candidate will have a historic victory in the by-election.
