Jharkhand got direct train connection with Goa from today with inauguration of Jasidih- Vasco da Gama ( Goa) train that was flagged off by rail minister Ashwani Vashnaw on Tuesday.
Senior BJP leaders including state president Deepak Prakash, leader of BJP parliamentary party Babulal Marandi and MP Nishitant
Dubey were present during the flagging off function at Jasidih Station.The rail minister flagged off the train remotely from New Delhi.
The train would give a direct connection for people of Jharkhand to Goa as it would cross via Dhanbad Bokaro and Ranchi .Besides Goa it would also help people reach Orissa, Chhattisgarh and Telegana too . It would take around 48 hours to reach Goa from here.
Both Babulal Marandi and Deepak Prakash travelled up to Ranchi on this train during the inaugural run.
Talking to media at Dhanbad Station both leaders hailed the union government for giving Jharkhand its due.
Hundreds of BJP workers led by district president CS Singh, vice president Nitin Bhatta and others greeted both leaders at Dhanbad Station while the train reached here.
