As part of different precautionary measures to fight against Covid-19, the Government had suspended bus and train services all over the country since the breakdown of the pandemic.
Now with the improvement in the situation, although bus and train services in the country as well as in the others parts of Odisha have started, there is no sign of resuming the Keonjhar-Bhubaneswar passenger train service, for which people of Keonjhar are facing a lot difficulties in going to Cuttack and Bhubaneswar for medical, High Court, Secretariat and other urgent works,
In this regard, Keonjhar Bar Association president Ashish Chakravarti has written a letter to Railway Minister Piyush Goyal urging him to start train services immediately, but there is no action taken as yet.
Sources said that a reminder of Chakravarti’s letter has been sent to the concerned DRM to take immediate action within seven days or else the Bar Association would resort to a dharna on the railway tracks and disrupt movement of goods trains.
