SDMC approves renewal of health trade licences

Wednesday, 18 August 2021 | Staff Reporter | NEW DELHI

The Standing Committee of the South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) on Tuesday approved renewal of health trade licences with waiver of interest and penalty.

The move is expected to help traders who have been reeling under the impact of the  ongoing Covid pandemic. The Standing Committee Chairman Colonel BK Oberoi while giving the go ahead for the scheme, said that as the pandemic has crippled their business, majority of them were not renewed their health trade license before 30th April 2021 hence the decision of waiving of penalty and interest will help them in renewing licenses without paying interest and penalty. The Standing Committee has approved waiving of Interest and penalty till 31st August 2021. Elaborating the proposal Oberoi said that it will help traders living in SDMC area in restoring their trade hit due to the pandemic.
