The Haryana Traffic Police launched a special campaign on 'Lane Driving' and 'Under Age Driving' from June 5 to June 12 and during this period, 3176 challans of lane driving and 258 challans for under age driving have been issued.  A total of 3434 challans were issued during this campaign, said Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij on Thursday.

Vij said that a total of 653 challans were issued in Ambala district, out of which 609 were challans for lane driving and 44 for under age driving.  A total of 137 challans were issued in Sirsa district, out of which 123 challans were issued for lane driving and 14 for under-age driving.  There were a total of 17 challans in Kurukshetra district, out of which 11 were challans for lane driving and 6 for underage driving.  A total of 236 challans were issued in Mewat district, out of which 234 were issued for lane driving and 2 for under age driving. He said that a total of 43 challans were issued in Rohtak district, out of which 40 challans for lane driving and 3 for underage driving.  A total of 59 challans were issued in Karnal district, out of which 2 were for lane driving and 57 for under-age driving. Likewise, 61 challans were issued for lane driving in Hisar district.

Vij said that a total of 135 challans were issued in Yamuna Nagar district, out of which 120 challans were issued for lane driving and 15 for underage driving. A total of 331 challans were issued in Panipat district, out of which 322 were challaned for lane driving and 9 for under age driving.  A total of 168 challans were issued in Jhajjar district, out of which 164 were for lane driving and 4 for under-age driving.

He informed that a total of 175 challans were issued in Gurugram district, out of which 160 were issued for lane driving and 15 for under-age driving.  A total of 90 challans were done in Sonipat district, out of which 75 were challans for lane driving and 15 for under age driving.  A total of 684 challans were issued in Faridabad district, out of which 646 were issued for lane driving and 38 for under-age driving.
