Chhattisgarh Police on Monday seized silver ornaments weighing 58.48 kg valued at Rs 42 lakhs here.
Mahasamund Additional Superintendent of Police Akash Rao Girepunje said the police intercepted a car at the Rehtikhol check post and found ornaments including anklets, rings and bracelets from the two Maharashtra-based bullion traders.
They told the police that they were returning to Maharashtra from Odisha with the consignment but they failed to produce any documents to back their case.
