The MP Nagar police have arrested the accused who were absconding for two years and committed fraud in the name of selling Ayurvedic medicines.
The accused are residents of Maharashtra and other states. The MP Nagar police arrested the accused who came to Bhopal again with the intention of committing crime.
The accused used to cheat the general public by providing medicines in the name of Ayurvedic treatment.
The accused committed a total fraud of Rs 7.51 lakh in the name of Ayurvedic medicine. The accused were absconding since the last incident of Bhopal.
In the year 2021, in the police station MP Nagar, Bhopal, the complainant and other victims have reported about the fraud of lakhs of rupees by the accused during the treatment of the family in the name of Ayurvedic treatment and medicine, on which a case was registered against the accused in the police station. In MP Nagar case under section 420, 120B IPC was registered and started investigation.
During the investigation, one accused in the case was arrested earlier from Pune and the remaining accused were absconding since the date of the incident.
The method of incident was that the accused used to target such people whose family members were suffering from serious illness and who were suffering. They used to cheat such people by giving expensive Ayurvedic medicines in the name of Ayurvedic treatment and giving full assurance of their recovery. The accused also had female companions in their group.
During background investigation of the accused, accused Arjun Venkatesh was arrested and efforts were made to arrest the absconding accused. After continuous efforts, the MP Nagar police team succeeded in arresting the accused Shanta Gurgappa Vedu, Karan Yalappa Vedu, Anil Durgappa Vedu from Kolar Bhopal, all accused hail from Maharashtra.
