Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) has achieved unprecedented milestones in annual production for the Financial Year 2023-24. SAIL marked remarkable growth with a 6% increase in hot metal production, 5% surge in crude steel output, and a notable 7% rise in saleable steel output compared to the previous fiscal year. In FY’24, SAIL reached production milestones of 20.5 Million Tonnes (MT) of hot metal, 19.2 MT of crude steel, and 18.4 MT of saleable steel.
Furthermore, SAIL also attained its highest-ever sales volume, reaching 17.1 MT during FY’24, showcasing a robust growth of over 5% compared to the Corresponding Previous Year (CPLY).
Amarendu Prakash, Chairman of SAIL, attributed this exceptional performance to the strategic alignment of the company with the growing demand in the steel market. He emphasized SAIL's unwavering commitment to further enhance production capabilities while remaining agile and responsive to the dynamic market landscape.
