The Gosani Nuagoan police on Wednesday arrested three youths in connection with the murder of Sonu Ghadei (25) alias Jadu, whose mutilated body was recovered from a nullah at the Haladia Padar railway flyover near Gosani Nuagaon.
The arrestees were identified as Bhabani Maharana, Aju Sethi and Rabi Gouda. The police seized a blade and two stones with blood stains from their processions.
Police said the deceased had a love relationship with one Chandini Maharana, wife of Shibani Maharana of Phulasundari Sahi here. Shibani’s younger brother Bhabani, who is an accused in the case, had known their illicit relationship. In a revengeful mood, Bhabani along with Aju Sethi and Rabi Gouda killed Sonu with sharp weapons and inflicting injuries also by throwing stones at his face.
